They Are Klang…

It’s also the new home of the Sharmanka kinetic gallery. For those of you who have never visited it is the collection of work by Russian sculptor Eduard Bersudsky. The sculptures are actually works of theatre and each piece tells its own story. I can highly recommend checking it out as it’s truly magical and unexpected. The work reminds me of Czech surrealist filmmaker Jan Svankmajer, best known for his 1988 version of Alice In Wonderland, and I find both oddly moving. Performances are limited to a couple a day, and if you want to know the timetable then check out Trongate 103’s homepage As a taste here is a short film that features some of the work on display:
